Bio
Ann Tschoerner is a ceramist and painter, who works out of her home studio in Paris, Texas. Her ceramic work is influenced by art deco graphic design sometimes combined with the Texas horned toad and lizards. Functional work is fired at mid range temperatures in an electric kiln, while much of Ann’s sculptural work is raku fired. Large globes and urns are favorite forms. Ann’s paintings are figure studies done in oil washes with ink drawn detailing.
A graduate of North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, with post graduate work at Texas A&M-Commerce; Ann taught high school art for twenty-five years in Paris area schools.
Ann’s work can be seen at The Plaza Art Gallery in downtown Paris, Texas.
