Bio

Helen Bonham Short, a native of Paris, Texas, paints with oil, watercolor, and mixed media to provide a work of art that will be enjoyed by her customers now and in the future.

Achievements

Since her first art lesson in 1983, Helen has pursued her interest with emotion and imagination, winning 2nd place in the professional division – oils in the Paris Art Fair in just five years. Her sunsets and watercolor floral collage paintings have been most popular. Her paintings are in private collections and businesses across the nation.

Affiliations

Helen is a member of the Plaza Art Guild and Paris Art Study Club. After a 30-year career with Campbell Soup Company, she retired to devote more time to her passion for painting. A lifetime member of the Paris Junior College Association of Former Students and Friends, Helen served as a director for 3 years and president in 1958. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Paris, she sings in the Chancel choir and served as song leader of New Era/Upper Room Sunday School class. She is also a member of Tempo Music Club, Paris Newcomers, and Lamar County Chamber of Commerce.
